ARMAND wins K13 Studio dubbing prize

We are delighted to anounce that ARMAND, the first feature film by Halfdan Ullmann Tøndel won €5,000 dubbing prize from K13 Studio at this year’s European Work in Progress competition. The film is produced by Eye Eye Pictures (NO) in co-production with Keplerfilm (NL), Prolaps AB (SE) and One Two Films (DE). Pandora is in charge of the German distribution; Charades handles world sales. We congratulate our co-producers and can’t wait for more good news to follow!

FFA supports Any Other Night

We are extremely proud and grateful to announce that the FFA has decided to support our new co-production ANY OTHER NIGHT with €225,000. Starring Gilian Jacobs and Marwan Kenzari, the film is a light romantic comedy, in which two expats go on a wild taxi odyssey through nocturnal Berlin. Co-producers are Lithium Studios in Canada and Lemming Film in the Netherlands.

Medienboard supports Any Other Night

Our upcoming co-production with Canadian Lithium Studios and Dutch Lemming Film received €350,000 of funding. Starring Gillian Jacobs and Marwan Kenzari, ANY OTHER NIGHT is a Berlin-set romantic comedy written by Patrick Whistler and to be directed by Michiel ten Horn. XYZ handles worldwide sales, X Filme will release in Germany.

THE GIRL FROM KÖLN receives EURIMAGES support

We are thrilled to announce that Eurimages has decided to back our upcoming project THE GIRL FROM KÖLN with 470.000 €. Written and to be directed by Ido Fluk, the feature is a co-production with Extreme Emotions (Poland) and Lemming Film (Belgium), starring Mala Emde, John Magaro, and Alexander Scheer, among others. This is a huge step for the project as we move into pre-production.

German Premiere of Northern Comfort at the 40. Filmfest München

We are looking forward to celebrating the German premiere of Northern Comfort at the end of June 2023. The icelandic british fear-of-flying comedy by Hafsteinn Gunnar Sigurðsson, with Timothy Spall, Lydia Leonard and Ella Rumpf in leading roles, will be shown in the spotlight section. Together with our partners from Netop Films, Good Chaos and our distributor Weltkino, we cannot wait for some good laughs at the upcoming end-of-month festivities.

Holy Spider wins LOLA in Bronze at the German Film Awards 2023

Holy Spider has won the prestigious LOLA in Bronze for Best Feature Film. A demonstration of the German Film Academy’s openness, the 2200 voting members had also celebrated Holy Spider with 4 nominations. The LOLA is a historic milestone and significant recognition by the German Film Academy for HOLY SPIDER. We congratulate our colleagues and are celebrating this great success!

Holy Spider scores 4 LOLA nominations at the German Film Awards

We are beyond happy that the German Film Academy has nominated Holy Spider four times: Best Feature Film (Sol Bondy & Jacob Jarek), Best Director (Ali Abbasi), Best Actress (Zar Amir Ebrahimi) and Best Actor (Mehdi Bajestani). We cannot wait to celebrate with the whole team – and are looking forward to the award ceremony on May 12th.

Holy Spider wins Best Film at Danish Film Awards

Holy Spider was awarded 11 times (from 16 nominations) at the Danish Film Awards. Apart from the main award as Best Film, the winners included: Hayedeh Safiyari and Olivia Neergaard-Holm for editing, Lina Nordqvist for production design, Rasmus Winther Jensen for sound design, Martin Dirkov for composer, Arash Ashtiani for male supporting role, Zar Amir Ebrahimi for female lead, Peter Hjorth for VFX, Ali Abbasi and Afshin Kamran Bahrami for screenplay, Ali Abbasi for director and Nadim Carlsen for cinematography. We could not be happier!

Northern Comfort will premiere at South by Southwest 23

Our fear-of-flying comedy Northern Comfort, directed by Hafsteinn Gunnar Sigurðsson, will celebrate its world premiere at the 2023 South by Southwest Film Festival in March this year. We’re looking forward to the next steps with our partners from Netop Films, Good Chaos. Supported by Medienboard Berlin-Brandenburg, Icelandic Film Centre, Nordisk Film & TV Fund, HES Strategies and Creative Europe. Northern Comfort will be released by Weltkino in Germany; Charades handles sales.

One Two Films is a Berlin-based production company run by Sol Bondy. Our focus is on feature films for the international market. 

With our Director Driven projects we provide our carefully selected directors with a home base. Working closely together, we produce high-class art house films. With our Producer Driven projects we develop scripts together with authors, packaging projects with the goal of finding experienced directors for high-quality feature films. These are aimed solely at the market for widespread distribution.
We are alumni of the TAP and INSIDE PICTURES programs and members of the German Producers Association VDFP, the German Film Academy and the European Film Academy.

Sol Bondy

Sol Bondy

was born in London and grew up in Spain and Berlin. He graduated from the German film school dffb Berlin. He was recognized as „Future Leader“ by Screen International and graduated from the “Trans Atlantic Partners” program in 2013. In 2018, he was named one of the „10 Producers to Watch” by Variety. In 2019, he graduated from the Inside Pictures program. Sol is a member of the European Film Academy and subsequently teaches at the dffb, Film University Potsdam, Met Film School and FAMU.

Fred Burle

Fred Burle

is Brazilian and lives in Berlin since 2010, where he graduated from the German Film School dffb. His shorts screened at more than 400 festivals worldwide. He worked as a film critic, at The Match Factory, at the Berlinale and Munich Film Festival, curated the first dffb-Festival, and lectured at the University of Brasilia and the European Film College. Fred is member of the European Film Academy and alumni of EAVE Puentes program. He started working for One Two Films in 2017 and is now the company’s second producer.

Daniela Ramin

Daniela Ramin

was born and raised in Berlin. She started working in the industry in 2001 while studying arts at FU Berlin and UvA Amsterdam. She worked as assistant to the Head of Press of the Berlinale and as a producer for Dreamer Joint Venture Filmproduktion GmbH, where she stayed for 9 years. She also led a team of production managers for over 5 years at the German dubbing company SDI Media Germany. From April 2020, she joined our team as line producer.

Christoph Lange

Christoph Lange

was born and raised in Bremen. He graduated as Master in International Business at the University of Maastricht. Since then he founded, advised and managed various companies. His strategic investment and entrepreneurial know-how are the backbone of One Two Films.
